13U Blue Sox Go Unbeaten For Brooklyn Park Trophy

The 13U Lake Shore Blue Sox put a championship exclamation point on their season with a 5-0 performance and tournament championship at the Brooklyn Park Tournament in mid-July.

The team of Anthony Cirricione, Jack Hogan, Scott Reeder, David Holtzclaw, Sean Fluhr, Greg Behrendt, Jacob McDonald, Kyle Hickson, Isaiah Allen, Landon Reyes, Grant Anderson and Matthew Wisniewski capped its two-day tournament run with a 21-9 victory over Hamilton Baseball to win the Brooklyn Park Tournament title.

Coached by Barnabas Domowski, John Hogan and Tony Reyes, the Blue Sox parlayed a 15-11 season in Mid-Atlantic Baseball Association Piedmont Division play into a stellar tournament performance in Brooklyn Park. Lake Shore represented Pasadena far and wide this spring and summer, playing in nine total tournaments, locally and as far away as South Carolina and New York.

Coach Domowski was proud to see his team’s season-long efforts coalesce for an unbeaten run through the Brooklyn Park Tournament.

“Putting this team together last August from scratch and building them up together and seeing the results of all the hard work and long hours they put in was very rewarding to have it end this way,” he said. “With their hard work and team spirit, along with their determination to end their season with a tournament victory, each player showed what they do best, and it paid off. We had a great season, and we are looking forward to continuing the success this fall and next year.”
