Bodkin Community Raises Funds For Wreaths Across America

In honor of Veterans Day, Bodkin students, staff and families gathered to plant about 100 American flags in front of the school on November 11 while also raising money for Wreaths Across America. Before the planting, Jeffrey Dever shared a trombone performance. A bulletin board inside the school recognized each veteran who was named in the donations and reminded students that America is the home of the free because of the brave. Bodkin raised about $750, which will fund 50 remembrance wreaths that will be placed on the graves of America’s heroes.
