Our Lady Of The Chesapeake Preps For Mardi Gras

An authentic New Orleans dinner with beer and wine, games and door prizes, and music by the jazz band Time For A Change — it’s all part of Mardi Gras, which comes to The Gathering Place, the banquet facility at Our Lady of the Chesapeake Church, on March 2 from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. Galilee To Host Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper

Get ready for all-you-can-eat pancakes, sausages and desserts. Galilee Lutheran Church, located at 4652 Mountain Road, will hold a Shrove Tuesday supper on March 5 from 4:30pm to 7:00pm. For a charge of $8 for adults and $3 for children under 3, hungry guests can get their fill of food to dine in or take out. Proceeds benefit the North County Emergency Outreach Network (NCEON) in Glen Burnie and Galilee’s ministry in Pasadena and beyond. For more information, call 410-255-8236.

Oyster Roast Will Benefit Children Facing Adversity

The Kamryn Lambert Foundation is preparing an evening of fun, food and fundraising. Its 12th annual bull and oyster roast will be held on Saturday, March 30, from 8:00pm to midnight at Michael’s Eighth Avenue (7220 Grayburn Drive in Glen Burnie). For $60 per person, attendees can have access to raffles and games, be entertained by a DJ and light show, and choose items from a menu that includes pit beef, ham and turkey; oysters and clams on the half shell; Italian sausage; fried chicken; hot dogs and chili; baked beans and sauerkraut; potato salad; cole slaw; sheet cake; and more.

All proceeds go toward educational and recreational activities for children and young adults struggling with adversity. The Kamryn Lambert Foundation has no paid employees, only volunteers.
