Gable To Host Career Expo Amid Growth Into Digital Media Era

Thirty-nine years ago, Gable Signs was a small backyard business in Pasadena, operating out of a spare garage while providing local stores and companies with hand-painted signs. Today, while still headquartered in Pasadena, the company – now known simply as Gable - has evolved tremendously in recent years as it has progressed into the age of digital displays and innovative lighting solutions.

With its rapid growth and projects now going on in almost every major U.S. city, Gable is seeking to hire new talent in several departments, including account management, digital/AV systems, field tech support, installation, project management, business development, marketing, service technicians, design (CAD operators, architectural and systems designers, graphics), welding/sheet metal, and fabrication and assembly. As a way to reveal the company’s fun work culture and educate job seekers on why there’s never been a better time to join the team, Gable will host Unlock Your Future, a career fair, on Thursday, May 24, from 3:00pm until 7:00pm at Gable Studios for Innovation, located at 6600 Cabot Drive, Suite C, in Baltimore. People with all levels of career interest, from entry level to mid-management, are invited to attend. Recent grads are also encouraged to attend and apply.

“There’s never been a better time to be a part of the Gable story. We are looking for innovative people who love to create and make stuff,” said Paul Gable, president and CEO. “Although Gable has always pushed to have a workplace that its staff could enjoy being a part of, the company has really doubled down on its efforts to improve the culture through several initiatives that enhance the overall team member experience here.”

As part of Gable’s ongoing dedication to enhancing the employee life, it launched a unique company culture campaign called the Keys to Greatness, which includes a published book for staff and clients that serves as a guide for how Gable conducts business every day.

Over the last decade, Gable explained that the company has expanded from its traditional sign offerings to now include its own catalog of digital displays, architectural elements, AV and media technology, and innovative lighting solutions. With the emergence into the digital display and lighting industries, Gable’s client roster has grown to consist of brands such as Starbucks, Disney, Walmart, Verizon and Domino’s Pizza. All projects are managed out of the company’s central office and operations center at the corner of Fort Smallwood and Solley roads. Locally, Gable has completed work for Maryland Live! Casino, M&T Bank Stadium, Oriole Park at Camden Yards, and a host of others.

“Right here in Pasadena, we are creating a visual communications hub for some of America’s leading names,” noted Jim Lucas, vice president of human resources. “Our employment experience now features a generous compensation and benefits package that includes bonuses, overtime, health care, future planning, paid time off, career growth and the opportunity to travel.”

Just a little further down the road from its 7440 Fort Smallwood Road headquarters, the company has another location, known as Gable Studios for Innovation, at 6600 Cabot Drive, Suite C, in Baltimore. This 29,000-square-foot facility offers an immersive experience of world-leading digital display, signage and lighting technology. Between the two locations in Maryland, as well as offices in Florida, Nevada, Massachusetts and Virginia, Gable currently employs more than 170 talented individuals.

“If you’ve ever dreamed of working in an environment where you’re constantly inspired, or have thought about what it might be like to be a part of a team that’s energetic, passionate and purpose-driven, we invite you to come check us out on May 24,” Gable emphasized.
