Havenwood 14U Revolution Complete Dominant Season

They’ve been doing it for several years now, and the Havenwood 14U Revolution softball team shows no signs of slowing down any time soon.

The Revolution powered to an astounding 77-15 record through mid-August dating back to September 2017, with a slew of top tournament finishes to their name.

The team of Kendall Thomas, Alison Pollack, Sofia Ameur, Caitlyn Cornwell, Lily Wade, Cheyenne Beayon, Ashlyn Bishop, Sophia Bianco, Ella Wood, Skylar Barton and Ashley Shawyer, many of whom will play at Northeast or Chesapeake, produced excellent outings at multiple local and regional tournaments this summer.

Notable among them was the Revolution’s first-place finish and 6-0 record at the Pony Mid-Atlantic Championship in Sterling, Virginia. Thomas and Beayon combined for a shutout in the tournament final victory over the Virginia Stingrays, while Ameur had two hits in the victory.

The team also went 8-1-1 in taking second at Memorial Day Madness in Pennsylvania against a 72-team field that hosted squads from all over the East Coast and Canada; and they also took second place at the United States Specialty Sports Association Maryland State Championships in June.

“I’m truly blessed to coach a talented group of young ladies,” said coach Randall Thomas, who coaches the team with assistant coaches Kathy Pollack, Joe Wood, Kenny Shawyer, Jon Wade and Buzz Cornwell. “I can’t wait to see what the future holds for them.”
