Korvin Wins Level 9 All-Around At Dutch Classic

Docksiders Level 7, 8, and 9 gymnasts recently traveled to Reading, PA, for the Dutch Classic, hosted by the Berks Gymnastics Club and Katie Korvin took first in the All-Around with a score of 35.60 in the 12-14 age group. Korvin won the Level 9 Vault and placed second on the Uneven Bars.
In the 15 and up age group, Emma Staisloff won Vault with a 9.55 score and placed third on Floor Exercise. The three-man team, including Elana Spiegler, placed second in the team competition.
At Level 8 in the 10-12 age group, Kateri Wess took first on Balance Beam and second on Uneven Bars and Ronni Binstock took first on Vault with a score of 9.375 and teammate Courtney Haynie placed second.
In the 13 and up age group, Abby Hershmann placed second on the Uneven Bars.
The Level 8 team placed second in the team competition thanks to outstanding performances by Courtney Boyle, Madeline Couch, Peyton Fuller, Devin Gromen, Hannah Laper and Camryn Rosen.
At Level 7, Maria Ramsey placed third All-Around in the 11 year old age group, taking first on the Floor, second on the Vault and third on the Beam. Karsyn Modeski placed third on Vault.
In the 9-10 age group, Chyna Gubbings captured the Floor Exercise and placed third on Vault, while Sydney Gilman placed second on Vault.
In the 12 and up group, Gillian Dea won Uneven Bars and Megan D’Apice placed second on Floor Exercise and third on the Balance Beam. Lindsey Gehring placed third on both Vault and Balance Beam. Also assisting in the team’s third place finish were Rebecca Beall, Ashley Dikemper, Kyra Feick, Allyson Lesher, Angela Marino, Madeline Nesbit, Rachel Parshell, Alexandra Sirasky, Alex Swann-White, Rachael Ward and Abigail Widmer.
