Local Family Lost Everything, Including Pets, In Fire - Chargers Are Collecting Donations

Posted

Calling all community members: there is a family in great need and your donations are wanted!

A Pasadena Chargers board member lost her home, pets, and all belongings in a devastating fire on September 8.  The Chargers community is calling for your donations, both cash and clothes.  Donations can be dropped off at the Chargers Snack Shack when it is open, (They will also be at their field from 6:00-8:00 September 12, 14, 15, and 16), or you can contact a board member by email (avanryswyk@heartcapc.com) or facebook (Click here to link to their facebook page) to arrange another drop off.  They have practices all week (September 12-16) at Lake Waterford Park, where donations can be dropped off. Cash and gift card donations (such as Wal Mart or Target) for the family can also be mailed to: Pasadena Chargers, 672 East Old Mill Rd., #126, Millersville, MD 21108. Please add a note that the donations are for the family. Following is what is needed clothing-wise for the three boys:

1. Size 8-10; shoe size 1.5-2
2. Pant/shirt size 12; shoe size 4.5
3. Pants 29" x 32", shirt men's medium, shoe mens 8.5

Mother is in size 10/12 or medium, and is in need of dress clothes for work.

Please open your hearts and give generously.

Email avanryswyk@heartcapc.com for more information.

The Anne Arundel County Breaking News and Events page is also a good site to follow for updates.

Thank you in advance for your generosity!
