Nationals Top Orioles In 8U Beltway Best In House Showdown

In a mini beltway battle, the Lake Shore Nationals topped the Orioles 8-6 at Lake Shore Athletic Complex on June 14 to claim the 8U Best In House tournament championship.

The Nationals, who are Jaden Broadie, Colton Dulay, Brendan Duncan, Dominic Hoffmaster, Jeremiah Jessup, Kellen McCullough, Charlie Mutschler, Freddie Nazarenus, Wyatt Oswalt-Goddard, Bently Schmidt and Cole Weber, were the first-place team in the regular season with a 10-1 record. They went 2-0 in the playoffs, culminating with the championship win over the Orioles.

The Nationals were led by head coach Dan McCullough and assistant coaches Ian Broadie and Claude Duncan.

The Orioles had a strong season to finish as Best In House runners-up. The Lake Shore 8U Orioles are Austin Lawler, Harry Carter, Isaac Cicchetti, Maverick Costell, Hudson Herd, Evan Lowry, Ayden Meadows, Jackson Morton, Brenden Smith, Chase Stauffer, Colt Wanner and Greyson Watkins.
