Partners In Care Receives Grant From TowerCares Foundation

Partners In Care received a $7,500 grant from TowerCares Foundation to help increase its services to veterans.

Transportation is PIC's most requested service. With the grant, the fee for the Mobility Buses will be waived, allowing PIC to help veterans get out of their homes more often.

"They asked for support for a program that we felt provided the opportunity for veterans to have a full life," said TowerCares Foundation ambassador Gail Sanders. "We saw it as an opportunity to get these folks out and about so they could enjoy a full life."

Something that's important to PIC president and CEO Mandy Arnold is "honoring the individuals who keep us safe and protect our country, and doing what we can to serve them."

"We wanted to be able to do more ... better assist our veterans and get them out and about," Arnold said. "We are ecstatic that we will be able to utilize those funds to be able to support the transportation to get them more involved with social activities so they're not isolated."
