PBA Update

Posted

Summer is here, and that means that we at the PBA are busy planning for the annual crab feast. This is a community event, so it’s all about socializing with your friends, family, neighbors and, of course, fellow PBA members.

This year’s crab feast is set for Wednesday, July 12, from 6:00pm to 10:00pm at Kurtz’s Beach. In addition to crabs, we’ll have crab soup, barbecue, fried chicken, sausage, baked pasta, baked pineapple, hot dogs, chili and cheese, vegetables with dip, green beans, fresh fruit, rolls and crackers, assorted salads and desserts. Crabs will be served from 6:30pm to 9:30pm, and other food will be served from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.

We will also have draft beer, soda, coffee and iced tea. Wine and canned and bottled products will be available at a cash bar.

Tickets are on sale now, and if you pay before July 4, you get a special rate of $50 per person or $35 per child (6 to 10 years old). If you pay after July 4, tickets are $60 per person and $45 per child.

If you are purchasing six or more tickets, and they are all paid for by June 30, we will reserve seats in your name for your guests. Be sure to clarify that you need reservations when you pay for tickets, and the name you want at your seating. However, reserved seating will be held only until 7:00pm. If you haven’t claimed your reservation by then, it is only fair that the seats be opened to others.

You can purchase your tickets at www.pbacrabfeast.com by credit card, or you can mail a check to PBA, P.O. Box 861, Pasadena, MD 21123-0861.

If you want to pay with cash or check, you can stop by BB&T on Mountain Road or Arundel Federal Savings Bank in Lakeshore Plaza to buy tickets in person.

Remember to shop local if you’re in the need of products or services. Find a list of PBA member businesses at www.pasadenabusinessassociation.com or email me for more information about being a member at pasadenabusinessassociation1@verizon.net.
