PBA Update

Posted

While social media is important, management experts know membership in a business organization is still the best way to increase sales. Face-to-face networking is especially important for small businesses trying to sell locally. Members get to know one another and develop a trust and relationship, and they confidently refer friends and family to one another’s companies. Pasadena Business Association members are motivated, hardworking people — invaluable sources of information and support who send customers your way!

The PBA offers hundreds of new business friends, lunch meetings with speakers and personal introductions, leads groups, networking mixers, a business trade show, and connection to our local representatives and chief of police. You are listed on our website alphabetically and through your category or categories with a link to your website. You can also put your logo, picture and bio on the website. You are listed in our annual Membership Directory and Community Guide alphabetically, cross-referenced and under categories.

We print and distribute 5,000 copies of this directory, and people in the community ask me when the new one is coming out because theirs is getting worn out. We encourage the community to use the directory when looking for goods or services. We encourage the community, through our Shop Local program, to keep the money in Pasadena by supporting our local businesses.

Juli Blanton of Keller Williams Flagship stated that “participation in the PBA leads group has helped grow my business through power partners that have become good friends as well as business acquaintances. PBA mixers strengthen business relationships in a more casual setting, and volunteering for various PBA committees exemplifies the PBA motto, ‘Great Businesses Making a Great Community.’”

This is a great time for your business to join the PBA. The deadline to be included in the directory is March 31, so don’t delay.

PBA gives back to the local community through our scholarships, Caring & Sharing Parade food drive, Veterans Day ceremony, tree lighting and A Child’s Christmas every year. If you become a PBA member, the community would know that you are a part of these great projects.

We will hold a Scholarship Day at Primo Pasta on March 28. Stop in at Primo Pasta, have lunch or dinner, and mention the Pasadena Business Association Scholarship Day, and we will receive a percentage of the sales to go toward our scholarships for local Pasadena students. This is an opportunity to have a delicious meal at Primo Pasta while investing in our future. It’s a win-win!
