PBA Update

Posted

By Sandi Parrish, PBA Executive Director

Now that we’re approaching the end of July, the annual PBA Crab Feast has already come and gone. The event was a huge success with over 560 tickets sold. Dave Rosage did a fantastic job organizing the event and selling tickets. There were many new faces at this year’s crab feast, which is always something we like to see.

I would also like to thank John Mason and the great crew at Kurtz’s Beach. The food was delicious and the waterside venue, as always, provided the perfect setting for the event. I'd also like to acknowledge Jimmy McCartin of MIC Entertainment for keeping attendees entertained and aware of what was going on throughout the festivities.

The new PBA directory has been released. Thanks to all who contributed to making it so wonderful. So far, the feedback has been great. Be sure to refer to it for all your local inquiries.

Up next for the PBA is the school-supply drive. Our education committee will be collecting all kinds of back-to-school supplies for us to distribute to local children in need. More information can be accessed on our website, www.pasadenabusinessassociation.com or by contacting Kim Wharton.

The next General Membership meeting will take place on August 3, 4:00pm at Bamboo Bernie’s. At that meeting, we will have more information on the PBA’s schedule of upcoming events, such as the August 28 networking mixer at Compass Pointe, the golf tournament at the end of September, and, of course, the annual Trade Show in October.
