The Northeast JV boys basketball team scored an impressive win on January 15, defeating host Annapolis 63-59 in a high-scoring, back-and-forth game.
The Eagles were able to maintain a slim lead throughout the second half and outscore the Panthers, holding off Annapolis and earning the win behind a team-high 17 points from Richard Stowe III. Jordan Williams (15 points), Mkaijaye Butler (10 points) and Travis Smoot (10 points) ensured the Eagles had four players score in double figures in the win. Aidan Harvey added 9 points for Northeast, who also got 2 points and a well-run offense by point guard Brandon Jordan.
With wins over Chesapeake, North County, Annapolis and Meade, Northeast is 4-5 in county play and 7-6 overall.
