Where To Watch The Fireworks This Fourth Of July

Posted

Ah, the Fourth of July — a time to celebrate America with cookouts, boat excursions and, of course, incredible fireworks. This year, there are several nearby fireworks displays that will give attendees a bright and stimulating spectacle.

Sherwood Forest Fireworks on the Severn River, July 3, 9:00pm

The Sherwood Forest community in Annapolis puts on a must-see fireworks event on the Severn River on July 3. Although the gated community is closed to nonresidents, those with water privileges along the Severn River — or those on boats — will have great vantage points, particularly near Round Bay, Olde Severn Park or Linstead beaches. The show starts at sundown, between 9:00pm and 9:30pm.

Glen Burnie Improvement Association Fireworks in Glen Burnie, July 3, 9:00pm

The Glen Burnie Improvement Association Fireworks will display a variety of fireworks at Sawmill Creek Park. Limited parking for the viewing can be found at Monsignor Slade Catholic School. Overflow parking will be available at Cromwell Light Rail Station. Fireworks start at 9:00pm. In the event of rain, the evening will be rescheduled for July 5.

Fireworks in Annapolis, July 4, 8:00pm

When the Annapolis Independence Day Parade — which starts at 6:30pm and makes its way along West Street, around Church Circle and then down Main Street toward City Dock — concludes around 8:00pm, the Naval Academy’s Concert Band will perform at Susan Campbell Park, and fireworks will go off over the Annapolis harbor at 9:15pm.

Ports America Chesapeake Fourth of July Celebration in Baltimore, July 4, 7:00pm

Downtown Baltimore will be stimulating both your eyes and your ears on the Fourth of July. Celebrate Independence Day down at the Inner Harbor with live music by the U.S. Navy Band at 7:00pm at the Amphitheater at Pratt and Light Streets. Then at 9:30pm, guests can enjoy the spectacular fireworks show that will be set to patriotic and contemporary music. This show can be viewed from several locations, including Federal Hill, Fells Point, Canton and Harbor East.
