Bowie Community Theatre To Present “Wait Until Dark”

Posted

Frederick Knott’s “Wait Until Dark” is coming to Bowie Community Theatre on weekends from October 7–30.

Set in a Greenwich Village apartment, a deadly game of cat and mouse ensues between blind Susy and three con artists, and the only way to play fair is by Susy’s rules. Hidden drugs, murder and deception all play a part in this dark, sinister thriller. A Broadway hit, this mystery moves from one moment of suspense to another as it builds toward an electrifying, breath-stopping final scene.

The last 15 minutes of the play will be in total darkness. For everyone’s safety and for the desired effect needed in the final scene of the play, attendees are asked to remain in their seats until the show has ended.

Showtimes are Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm, with Sunday matinees at 2:00pm. Bring one nonperishable food item for donation to the Bowie Food Pantry in exchange for one free concession item.

Bowie Playhouse is located at 16500 Whitemarsh Park Drive in Bowie. Tickets are $22 for adults, and $17 for seniors (62 and up) and students. Group rates are also available. To make reservations, call 301-805-0219 or email www.bctheatre.com.
