A native of Crofton, Calvert Veterinary Center’s newest staff member, Dr. Jacquelin Koenig, completed her undergraduate degree at Frostburg State University in 2010 and received her doctor of veterinary medicine degree from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. Koenig spent three years as a veterinary technician and worked at one of the largest veterinary referral hospitals in the Midwest while in veterinary school.
Koenig enjoys all aspects of small-animal medicine, and she has particular interests in neurology and emergency medicine. She spent time volunteering in Thailand, studying and examining large animals such as sun bears and Asian elephants.
During her spare time, Koenig enjoys snowboarding and hiking with her three dogs, Ollie, Phoebe and Moe. She also enjoys spending time with her fiancé, Zach, and their 6-year-old son, Dylan. She shares her home with her two cats, Ellie and Papple, and her rabbit, Zamboni.
