Volunteers are invited to historic Hammond-Harwood House to help create and decorate the items to be sold at the Holiday Greens Sale. We will be making wreaths and centerpieces to benefit the house.
All volunteers are welcomed, no experience necessary.
In 1825 Mrs. Frances Loockerman decided to create a very special boxwood garden behind her mansion on Maryland Avenue. The romantic “box walk” was planted in the shape of a heart. Since 1953, the museum’s many volunteers have made special holiday boxwood creations and all proceeds benefit the collection and mission of the Hammond-Harwood House. Decorate your home for the holidays with our festive Boxwood Collection, crafted from boxwood grown in the historic Hammond-Harwood House garden!
