Hot Club Of Baltimore, Vocalist Alexis Tantau To Perform In Severna Park

On Sunday, August 21, Hot Club of Baltimore returns with special vocalist Alexis Tantau to the monthly concert series presented by Jazz Beyond Borders in the garden courtyard of Cafe Mezzanotte in Severna Park.

One of the most popular touring bands to come out of Charm City in decades, Hot Club of Baltimore brings crowd-pleasing Gypsy jazz and swing to venues across the U.S. Their music is heard internationally and bandleader/guitarist Michael Joseph Harris is a popular guest artist in North America and Europe.

In this special performance at Cafe Mezzanotte, the band features vocalist Alexis Tantau. The captivating songstress helped popularize the group by appearing with them on multiple albums and tours. Enjoy traditional tunes written and/or influenced by the great Django Reinhardt along with acclaimed contemporary creations composed and recorded by Harris.

Cafe Mezzanotte is located at 760 Ritchie Highway in Severna Park. The venue is known for its fresh and flavorful Mediterranean menu and offers free and convenient parking onsite. Now in its fifth year, Jazz Beyond Borders is a cultural diversity organization bringing world music and jazz artists to festivals, concerts, classrooms and airwaves. The jazz and world music series at Cafe Mezzanotte was begun by Theresa Sise and Paulina Phillips in November 2019.
