Maryland Day Weekend, taking place from March 21-23, promises an exciting and educational celebration during Maryland’s birthday, with more than 45 events throughout Anne Arundel County. This annual weekend of events offers free or $1 activities that bring communities together to explore the rich history, culture and heritage of the region.

The weekend is packed with family-friendly experiences, perfect for a fun and educational family getaway. As they travel between participating sites, families can also discover farmers’ markets, wineries, farm-to-table restaurants, boutique shops and historical inns.

This year’s theme, “Unity through Community,” reflects the passion of local storytellers that will be bringing people together to showcase the many diverse landscapes and stories that make up their shared past and future.

“After a winter of hibernation, these events create fun opportunities to explore the many communities that make up Anne Arundel County,” said Erik Evans, marketing director for Maryland Day Weekend. “With so many types of events, there is something for everyone to enjoy this spring weekend.”
