Pasadena Performer Gets Ready To Ring In The Holiday

Posted

Last year, Jasmine Dominguez-Taco demonstrated her acting chops in Solley Elementary’s production of “The Jungle Book KIDS.” This year, the 10-year-old from Pasadena is preparing to sing and dance alongside Frosty, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, and a group of elves during The Talent Machine Company’s production of “Ring in the Holiday 2019” from December 13-22.

Jasmine is a member of the ensemble for the show. Her audition process started with a song, for which she chose “Tomorrow” from the film “Annie.” Afterward, she was taught a dance to later perform in front of judges.

“Any audition, I usually feel nervous, but I take deep breaths to calm myself,” she said.

Jasmine is excited for landing a spot in the ensemble.

“The dances we learn, they put us in most of the same groups, separated between the older kids and younger kids,” she said. “I really like the dances, because it’s so much fun hanging out with my friends and doing the vocals.”

Jasmine said she feels “happy and honored” to be in The Talent Machine production. Not only will she enjoy singing and dancing along to holiday remixes, but the opportunity will also allow her to improve as a performer.

“I want to keep trying for auditions,” she said. “I’ve always had a passion for singing and dancing.”
