Who we are

The Pasadena Voice has proudly served communities in Pasadena and Gibson Island since February of 2009. Our talented staff is committed to supporting and recognizing the positive endeavors of the local community. We take pride in accurately covering the local events and activities of our youth, schools, sports, arts, neighborhoods, businesses, public officials and community organizations. We are invested in reflecting the "good things" that our area and citizens have to offer.

The Pasadena Voice is the sister publication of the Severna Park Voice. Originally called the Severna Park Village Voice when it was founded in 1981, it published and produced by Margueritte L. Mills, grandmother of our current publisher, Dianna Lancione. Mrs. Mills successfully kept the greater Severna Park community abreast of the latest goings-on for many years. In 1993, she was awarded the Media Advocate of the Year Award by the Greater Severna Park Chamber of Commerce and was selected Media Advocate Runner-Up by the U.S. Small Business Administration. Upon her death, Dianna and her husband, Lonnie, dedicated themselves to continuing the legacy and took full control of the paper in 1996.

Today, the Lanciones own and operate three successful, one-of-a-kind publications, the Severna Park Voice, the Pasadena Voice and the Arundel Voice. Each paper reflects the best that its prospective community has to offer, whether it’s the exciting comeback victory of the local little league team or the inspiring return of a local war hero. Our papers also give local merchants and professionals the rare opportunity to reach over 74,000 of their neighbors directly in their homes and businesses.

What began as an 8 page tabloid with a distribution of 3,000 copies has now expanded into two full-fledged 40 to 50 page monthly newspapers. The Lanciones have stayed true to Mrs. Mills’ original goal – to produce a publication whose primary purpose is to be a positive influence on the community and to show the world around us the good things that are happening in Anne Arundel County.

We invite you to be a part of who we are.
