Observed with a nightly menorah lighting, prayers and special foods, the eight-day Jewish holiday of Chanukah begins this year on the eve of December 25 and concludes on January 2.
The holiday will be celebrated in Annapolis with a menorah parade and lighting on Sunday, December 29. Hosted by the Chabad of Anne Arundel County, the car parade will proceed beginning at 5:30pm from the Safeway on Housely Road into downtown Annapolis, concluding at City Dock. Menorahs will be attached to the cars, and a giant menorah will be kindled immediately following the parade at approximately 5:45pm.

Menorah candles will also be lit daily during Chanukah at the Annapolis Town Center. Look for more information at www.annapolistowncenter.com/events.
Those attending shabbat service at Temple Beth Shalom in Arnold on Friday, December 27, are encouraged to bring their menorahs.
