Many thanks to Blendabowl for hosting our Successful Women in Business group. We were treated to a delicious buffet of açaí and mango bowls with fruit and toppings. Blendabowl is a gluten- and peanut-free establishment in business for eight years.

Zen Leaf Pasadena hosted a chamber member mixer, providing members with an opportunity to connect, network and learn about their business in a welcoming atmosphere.

We held two Multi-Chamber Lunch and Learns in September. The first featured Wes MacQuilliam, chief operating officer of the Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation. MacQuilliam provided an in-depth overview of major revitalization projects taking place in the county, along with stats on job growth and new business openings.

Next, we heard from Kirkland Murray, chief executive officer of the Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corporation (AAWDC). Murray talked about ways AAWDC is strengthening talent pipelines and preparing job seekers for career readiness.

The Sisters Supper Club sponsored our September TGIF cookout and we had a chance to sample their delicious recipes. They offer homemade meals for families on the go.

Our Shoptoberfest with a trick-or-treat twist will be held at Park Plaza on Saturday, October 24 from 11 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. We will have vendors, food, entertainment, a costume contest for kids and much more. The event is free and open to all.
