Chesapeake (7-0) wrapped up the regular season with a win over visiting North County (2-5) on June 4 and finished undefeated for the first time in the 20-year tenure of coach Grant Yinger.
“This was a special team with a core group of returning varsity players, senior leadership and quality newcomers who fit right in,” Yinger said. “Not only did we run the table; we didn’t drop more than two matches in any of our competitions. It was a fitting end in several ways, and this was such a fantastic group to work with.”
