Earleigh Heights Carnival Is Coming To Town

The Fourth of July is drawing nearer, but before the parade starts, another popular tradition will provide entertainment and family fun. The Earleigh Heights Volunteer Fire Company will hold its annual carnival from June 30 through July 9.

Rides, vendors, games and more will all be a part of the carnival, with the fire company also providing food and drinks. Hours for the carnival are 6:00pm to 11:00pm except for the Fourth of July, which will be 3:00pm to 10:00pm. The carnival will be closed on Sunday, July 3.

But the rides aren’t the only thing to get excited for this year as the fire company will hold a $10,000 raffle. The winner gets $6,000, second place gets $3,000 and third place gets $1,000. Individual raffle tickets are $3 or buy three tickets for $8. The winners of the raffle will be announced on a Facebook Live event that will be streamed on the final day of the carnival, July 9, so there will be plenty of time to buy tickets.

“We’d just like to see people come out and support us,” said Andrew Price, the carnival’s coordinator. “With the community’s support, that’s how we pay for our equipment. So, any help and support we can get, the better.”
