Pasadena Soccer Club Awards $20,000 To High School Seniors

Posted

Pasadena Soccer Club (PSC) hosts the Mountain Road Soccer Tournament each November with the sole purpose of funding its scholarship program for local teens. The 2016 tournament was again a successful event and PSC was able to award 10 scholarships of $2,000 each. This year’s recipients were Tara Dedrickson, Nathan Parker, Samantha Myers, Jordan Harrell, Christine Parkent, Cameron Tyler, Ryan Potter and Gabrielle Summers from Chesapeake High School; Ryan Fisher from Archbishop Curley; and Megan Sayles from Catholic High.

To be eligible, graduating seniors must have played soccer with PSC or one of its parent clubs (St. Jane Soccer and Mountain Road Soccer). The teens were then required to submit an essay in response to this year’s scholarship question. Since 2014, PSC has awarded $90,000 in scholarships to 40 local teens.
